reddit ask: What’s the last book you read that you’d rate a 5/5?

reddit user @fuzzypickles999 asked “What’s the last book you read that you’d rate a 5/5?” and here are some of the answers, you can read the whole thing at the source.

I read the The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver earlier this year and I think about it at least once a day.

Fiction: The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende
Nonfiction: Say Nothing by Patrick Radden Keefe

– Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins. It’s a wild ride start to finish it “Horror” sort of? It’s hard to describe.

An oldie: Persuasion by Jane Austen. It is a romance but it was her last book and you can tell that her notions of romance and relationship had matured.

– Shogun by James Clavell. Read it after the TV show came out but it made no difference to how much I enjoyed it. Fantastic read.

– Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin is an absolute masterpiece. I read it recently and I haven’t been able to move on quite yet because it shook me to the core. It’s the perfect mix of friendship, love, character development, and great storytelling
