“Downton Abbey 3” Premiere: Dockery Pregnant, Bonneville Talks Gaza

Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale had its London premiere last night. At the event, series star Michelle Dockery revealed she and husband Jasper Waller-Bridge are expecting their first child (confirmed by People). The pair were first introduced by his sister Phoebe and married in 2023.

On a very different tonal note, Hugh Bonneville was interviewed live by ITV on the red carpet and used the opportunity to highlight the horrific situation in Gaza.

Interviewer: [start of clip] “And who better to speak to about that than Hugh Bonneville, who’s been there from the very start?”

Bonneville: “Hello, good evening. Before I talk about the fluff and loveliness of our wonderful film, what’s about to happen in Gaza City is indefensible. The international community must do more to bring it to an end. Downton Abbey‘s a lovely film and we’re going to celebrate fifteen glorious years of it tonight.” [end of clip]
