John Oliver has made so secret of how much he loves watching The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. On his 21st visit to The Late Show, he and Stephen talk about their Funko Pop figures and then John explains why he loves watching The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. He describes the cast as “the most magnificent monsters on television” and “human hand grenades who will willfully pull their own and each others’ pins out for your entertainment.” He says that one of the things that makes this cast amazing is that they are both intentionally funny and unintentionally funny, and that they think they’re self-aware but they’re not. He also points out that they are all hawking products that are “various degrees of a disaster.”
He tells Stephen that Jen Shah is currently in the same prison as Ghislaine Maxwell and Elizabeth Holmes so he knows she will have stories when she gets out. He says that if she does not get to immediately rejoin the cast upon her release from prison, then Andy Cohen is not the super producer he thinks he is.
