• Perhaps one of the most competitive Emmy categories this year is drama series with Severance becoming a Succession style juggernaut with a record breaking 27 nominations up against the freshman HBO Max series-that-could The Pitt which came out of nowhere earlier this year and landed 13 nominations.
• Both shows have been campaigning hard, but instead of pumping up the FYC machine with murals and free raw Almond milk at Erewhon, The Pitt dropped a teaser trailer for season 2, four months ahead of its January 2026 premiere.
• We see the return of Dr. Langdon (aka “The prodigal son”) and shots of all of our favorite nurses and doctors.
