Audible is releasing full cast adaptations of the Harry Potter books.
The cast is led by Hugh Laurie (“House”), who voices Albus Dumbledore, with Matthew Macfadyen (“Succession”) as Lord Voldemort, Riz Ahmed (“Sound of Metal”) as Professor Snape and Michelle Gomez (“Doctor Who”) as Professor McGonagall. Cush Jumbo (“The Good Fight”) lends her voice as the narrator for the seven-book series.
Young actors Frankie Treadaway, Max Lester and Arabella Stanton will play Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger respectively in audiobooks one, two and three. Stanton is also playing Hermione in HBO’s series. Jaxon Knopf, Rhys Mulligan and Nina Barker-Francis will assume the same roles (Harry, Ron, and Hermione respectively) in audiobooks 4-7.
